FOOTBALL: Nine BSU players receive MAC honors

After the first winning season for the Ball State University football team since 1996, nine players were rewarded by the Mid-American Conference for their season.

Four Ball State juniors were named to the All-MAC First Team.

Offensive tackle Robert Brewster, tight end Darius Hill, receiver Dante Love and punter Chris Miller received the honor.

Three Cardinals were named to the All-MAC Second Team. Sophomore quarterback Nate Davis, junior linebacker Bryant Haines and junior cornerback B.J. Hill made the second team.

Two sophomores made the All-MAC Third Team.

Defensive end Brandon Crawford and safety Alex Knipp earned the honors.

The conference's 13 head coaches voted for the awards.
